The project is divided into three infrastructure components:
- Component 1: S.E. Valle del Chira 220/60/22.9 kV - 100 MVA.
- Component 2: 220 kV Piura Oeste - Pariñas transmission line variant.
- Component 3: 60 kV La Huaca - Sullana transmission line variant.
The main objectives of the project are to strengthen the operation of the electrical system in northern Peru to provide energy supply with adequate standards of quality and reliability of supply, as well as to contribute to the solution of technical problems in the system such as congestion on transmission lines and voltage drops at substation busbars.
