The project consists of a 940-km line connecting the state of Rondonia with the National Interconnected System. The line was built in two stages, with the northern line section being the last to enter operation in 2012. After completion, this project rendered unnecessary the use of many isolated generator groups that had previously been operating with a major environmental impact.
